About our President
Carol Bundock has lived in Norfolk since 1975 and considers it very
much her home. She was a mature student at UEA from 1986-89, studying
English and Drama. From there she went straight into the BBC, joining
BBC Radio Norfolk, and soon becoming the presenter of Today in
Norfolk . After 5 years in radio, she de-camped to Look East, where
she is now a presenter and reporter. Outside work, Carol is president
of Girlguiding Norfolk, is also county president of the British Red
Cross, and last year was made a Deputy Lieutenant of Norfolk . She is
married to fellow BBC journalist, Ian Barmer, and has two grown up
children. Laura is also a journalist and Joanthan a tree surgeon.
They and her family and friends are very important to her, along with
two cocker spaniels, Alfie and Poppy. She is a keen gardener, cook
and reader, and loves to listen to music, especially choral works!
